Without having the force of satire and left only a gentle comedy, this film, despite being more than correct, lacks nothing novel or ingenious enough to stand out in the genre of movies about making movies in Hollywood .

We attended two weeks of the life of Ben, a major Hollywood producer who is going through a delicate moment. One of his great movies, with Sean Penn as an actor, do not get good reviews in the previous passes and the studio wants to change the final step before its expected official debut at the Festival de Cannes. Another project with Bruce Willis as a star of action will be canceled because the actor is overweight and refuses to shave his luxuriant beard. And Ben is still in love with his second ex-wife, who has begun a relationship with another person.

The world of Hollywood has always been sold as something where the money is most important, talent does not count, the egos have all the weight and traits such scruples or integrity are a luxury we can not have. This film presents a superficial way only some of these characteristics and the stage on which develops the protagonist's life is much less harsh and more human themselves. At no time actually playing the card of being a satire nor a critique, and try to be just a quirky comedy in which the entertainment is more an excuse than a reason for the story. The story itself is relatively superfluous and even though its core is the main character, it is quite flat and only serves as a bridge linking the situations that arise. But it's nice to see Robert De Niro in a comic role much more content and less caricatured than in other previous raids that has made this genre. The result is a funny movie moments and, thanks to the presence of a great actor on screen, this film can be seen easily but lacks a bit of life and much spark.
